Snowy Plover Nesting Season Over

This was a good year for nesting on Sanibel’s beaches.  There were 12 babies born compared to 7 last year.  SCCF (Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation) also reports that here were two Wilson’s Plover nests with a total of 6 babies.  You can learn more about these shorebirds at a presentation on August 4th at 10AM at SCCF.
