Since 1976, David has steadily sold real estate in the Sanibel and Captiva Island areas. He has been with VIP Realty since 1990. He was named Sanibel & Captiva Islands Realtor of the Year in 1995, 2004, 2007, and 2014; was the recipient of the “Outstanding Service Award” from the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Realtor Association in 2006; and was named a Top Gun Realtor by the Realtor Association of Greater Ft. Myers in 2002.

In 1993, the Points of Light Foundation and the Allstate Foundation awarded David the Hurricane Andrew Hero Award. That same year, he received “Florida’s Finest” Certificate of Appreciation from Governor Lawton Chiles. The award recognized David for his “significant dedication and devotion” to the common good of Florida.
