Temporary Closing of Shell Museum

 September is historically our slowest time of the year. The Sanibel Historical Museum has closed for the rest of the summer.  Now we hear that The Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum will be closed September 21-October 4.  They will use the time to reconfigure the lobby and museum store, as well as upgrade some of the windows and entry doors to hurricane code.  Watch for their grand re-opening in early October.
