Saving our Wildlife

Ding Darling Wildlife Society has a group of volunteers called Friends of the Refuge who are involved in a worthy endeavor.  Each Friday when the Refuge is closed, they go in and cut and pull all the monofilament fishing lines and lures caught in the mangroves.  They use kayaks to get up close to the mangroves.  Fishing line is deadly to the wildlife who get caught in it so I am a great supporter of their efforts.  If you have an interest in wildlife survival, please volunteer your time or money to help this great cause.
