The Sox play their final spring training game at City of Palms Park today. No one knows the future for this 19 year old park, located in downtown Ft. Myers, when the Sox move to their brand new spring training stadium next year. Lee county still owes over $23 million on the mortgage so they need to find a use for it soon. There is a national swimming center group that has a proposal, but so far the county hasn’t shown much interest in their plans. The county put so much money into the new stadium, but apparently have no plans for the old one. What a waste of money!
