Congratulations to SCCF for reaching their fund-raising goal of $5.3 million to purchase and restore the historic Bailey Homestead on Periwinkle. They plan on restoring the home and creating a Conservation History center to promote island conservation and wildlife management. There will also be trails for hikers and birders on the 28.3 acre site. This is a huge step forward to continue Sanbel’s preservation of “green” areas for wildlife habitat.
