552lb Grouper Caught off the Sanibel Causeway

While fishing off the Sanibel causeway, Jon Black (a bait-shop owner from Cape Coral) reeled in a Goliath grouper estimated to be 552 pounds. The grouper measured 83 inches long and 73 inches in girth. Black believes his catch has set the state record for Goliath Grouper caught on rod and reel. The video of Black landing the grouper was posted on social media and immediately went global.
