SCCF Provides World Shorebird Day Talks

Tuesday September 6th is the third annual World Shorebird Day. This holiday was created to increase public awareness regarding the need to protect shorebirds and their habitat. In honor of this occasion, SCCF’s shorebird biologist will present three talks for the public relating to shorebirds and their presence on Sanibel. The first lecture is at 10am and the topic is nesting shorebirds of Sanibel and Captiva. The second lecture at 11am is on common shorebirds of Sanibel Island. The third lecture at 1pm is about resighting banded birds. More information on World Shorebird Day can be found at worldshorebirdsday.wordpress.com.
